The Daddy Issue: A New Thing or Something Older?

I think older generations simply can't compete with the attention span of their younger counterparts. The son is going to be on social media almost terminally, if they grow up in today's internet culture. So you sort of feel like the daddy issue is a bit of a result of modern cultural disconnect between father and son. But I think it's a cop out to say that like men have an infinitely hard time compared to women or whatever. Like life is just hard, life is suffering. And to pretend that like men are superior because they have to, you know, work for everything in life isn't true.
