What Are the Different Types of Shame?

Shame is a painful wareness of self, where you suddenly become aware of yourself in a way that feels painful or unpleasant. A lot of what we do in our daily lives is about trying to avoid situations where we might feel shame. We all experience shame on a daily basis, maybe several times a day. And i think one of the interesting things in your book is how you talk about how they differ along two spectrums: intensity and duration.
