The EU's Response to the AI Act
This week was a big week for AI with the European Parliament voting for the first time on the AI Act. EU Commissioner Thierry Breton sat down with Efah Amanpour to talk about this new piece of legislation that's been brought forward by the Commission. But even if all the EU institutions do reach agreement, it still is not expected to come into effect until 2026. To learn more about the AI Act, its origins and what it aims to achieve, I sat down with EU Commissioner Terry Braton in Strasbourg.
