The vast majority of tasks do not occur spontaneously in nature. Spontaneously by the way can be thought to mean in the absence of a constructor. So for example, a car is typically only created or transformed from metals and other materials that a car requires when a person with the knowledge of how to create that car is present. But I think we'll hold off on that point for another episode. Now I do want to talk a little bit about a so-called universal constructor.
We continue our exploration of constructor theory, our deepest theory in physics. We learn about the conceptual tools used in the theory, such as constructors, tasks, and substrates. We explain how constructor theory solves a few philosophical problems, such as whether or not causation is real, and what knowledge is in physical terms. We explain why constructor theory expresses knowledge as a fundamental quantity in Reality. Finally, we define a universal constructor and suggest that future research may prove the possibility of its creation.
