The world of institutional capital and even seed stage investors, both institutional and individual is overwhelmingly homogenous and specifically white and male. And so when you're pitching something like this, overwhelmingly, my experience doesn't match their experience. The overwhelming feedback that I got in the earliest days was, hey, this is super niche. This is really just for the Asian American audience,. But fast growing is still not enough of a market to deliver venture scale returns.
