The Birth of Helen Adams on a Cotton Plantation

Helen was born on what gets called euphemistically a homestead when people want to whitewash history. John Adams was one of the only presidents back then who wasn't a slaver. Helen is born 15 years after the Civil War ended, and she's rad on the balance. And probably had at least her granddad rolling over in his grave.
