As an adolescent and my early twin is I was I was the total rebel. I didn't want anything to do with what I saw as this ridiculous old-fashioned colonialist society that lived in the past of the sort of great British Empire. When I left England 1981 because I just wanted to leave Margaret Thatcher's England I ended up meeting a woman who had lived through the whole hippie era, she spent years hanging out in South America among indigenous people.
