The External and the Internal Are a Conflict?

The external and the internal are a conflict that's a really good question, i think. Well, so we talked last this book i'm reading, called away shadows,. And of course, i'm reading it from a different perspective now, because i'm thinking about it from writing, a writing standpoint. Would you say that a lot of ti the external and internal are, it conflict a ive how they are going to behave throughout the story?
