Tesla's Giga Canada Deal Could Be a Good One for Tesla
In December, Tesla said the mine had 63% more lithium than originally thought and were considering tripling lithium production next year in 2024 as a result. Next this week, we're not quite announcing Giga Canada yet, but Tesla has inked a major deal in Ontario. This project will help Ontario reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 4.1 million tons or the equivalent of taking 40,000 cars off the road every year. When you have 22 billion in Scrooge McDuck cash that you're sitting on in your money silo, you can outbid just about anybody else for that lithium mining corporation known as Sigma Lithium Corp.
