The Rockford Peaches and Women Playing Baseball in World War Two

i watched a league of their own, which is a t v series version of the movie of the same name with jeana davis and tom hanks. And my main memories of the movie are that it's a really fun sport story. But this is actually a very serious and, at times quite sad and disturbing portrayal of what it was like to be a queer woman in the 19 forties. The experience of falling in love and discovering queerness is sort of positioned as the same as being a woman who likes baseball. Which i'm a little disappointed about. Lake, i can't believe iwold hear saying like but i'm really sad tis is a queer love story.
