The Role of Force in the Bengal Crisis of 1950
The use of force is a tool that's been used by different prime ministers at different times like Indra Gandhi if I remember correctly we discussed in a Bangladesh episode the sort of used it just before the war officially erupted. It kind of goaded the Pakistanis into making the first move there and Prime Minister Vajpayee did it after the parliament attacks where the whole idea was not that we are going to attack but that we're going to with sufficient credibility demonstrate that we might attack so that the international community steps in and puts pressure on Pakistan.
