Those with the densest sentences were far less likely either to develop alsheimerers or to show its ravages. The larger the vocabularies and the more complex the thinking processes in youth, the less chance of alsheimers damage later - even if they developed the disease. And the best way to increase vocabulary and reading comprehension is by starting early in life, by reading to your children.
