Creating a Cultural Identity in Oakland
Oakland has such a rich cultural history to me and you write in California soul that creating a sense of cultural identity is one of the most important parts of settling into a new place. I always think of it as like where pioneers come right it's like people travel across country and they didn't know what they were going to get into and they made something happen and that's kind of what I've done as well. At 80 or almost 80 and miss Odette and her barbecue sauce she's phenomenal and has been really committed to consistency which again is a big value of mine.
