What Jesus Says in the Sermon on the Mount

i want to take a look at that this morning. Jesus's intent in these beatitudes is to shift the paradom, change the way that they think about god and they think about themselves. There's a caviat, two caviats to this. All of scripture is god's word, but all of god's word doesn't find us in the same place. Following jesus is not always safe. When i say persecution, here's what i mean: being physically, mentally, financially or socially harmed because of your faith in an association with jesus. This right here was meant a to unearth something in them.
