The cost of depression is $17,190 on average per individual. Average number of days off from work each year if you have an effective disorder adds up to 75.4 days per year back. Indirect spending for effective disorders includes non-health services and social costs so family breakdowns going through a divorce legal costs stuff like that. Fewer than two in five people with anxiety and depression seek treatment but the relapse rate is between 30 and 50% for those who initially recover.
