A Group Isn't as Imposing a Name as Pre Dynastic

Elements of what we call nacata material culture went south along the nile, deep into what later became nubia. At the same time, objects more commonly found in nubia showed up on nicod cites in upper egypt. So rather than a strict division between worlds, we can see continuous interactions moving both south and north Along the nile and out into the surrounding deserts. The whole area around the first cataract, near what's now aswan, was very much a hybrid zone between these two worlds.
