The Impact of NATO's Rewording of Articles 5 and 6 on Satellites
Don Weilbann: Satellites don't respect the territorial boundaries, I suppose a bit like Putin, of sovereign nation states. Musk had to try and put in place some sort of geo fencing to stop these satellites from being used to then spy on and gather intelligence over Russian territory. It just it threw up a whole bunch of questions. And this hopefully might bring us to law. Not just law, but narrative and understanding and parameters on satellites in general. Some of them are used by the major powers as part of their nuclear early warning systems.
