The Pros and Cons of Using a Signed URL for File Upload
A signed URL is an authentication mechanism or authorization mechanism as well as some expiration date. The front end can take that, then upload the file directly to the object storage provider. That's what most people say is the best way. But you may also be paying as your server serves as a proxy and receives that file.
