Bonds Are Doing So Badly

The route from the sovereign bond market has been truly historic on a nominal total return basis actually worse than the 1970s so far for a year year's basis. When you say you weren't bearish enough on bonds, no one was bearishenough on bonds. Why do you think yields have sold off so much? You had an inflationary thesis a year ago, okay, bonds, they're not going to be a great investment. That was right. But it's been even more than that. They've really been at the eye of the hurricane. And normally during times when the economy is slowing, bonds do do okay.
