The Relationship Between Integration and Strategy
I'd say you get a lot more out of going through that year-long integration with them. I have such a deeper knowledge of their business, them as a leader and what their goals are from the point of acquisition to seeing how that evolves throughout time. So there's a relationship that I think you earn trust a bit more,. People can come to you in a vulnerable moment and ask for your help. And that inevitably hopefully leads to more retention and actually getting to value.
