Data revealed that the majority of cases involved boys and students who were black. There were sort of three areas where there are disproportionate use of restraint and seclusion. Students with disabilities are restrained included more often, infinitely higher rates, black students and boys. It was a major focus of our piece and something we tried to tell readers about.
