Writing Is the Most Powerful Level for Building Knowledge
Bob Greene: Writing is really the most difficult thing we ask kids to do in school. He says if you just ask kids to write it lanes, not only are they not going to acquire writing skills, but they're going to be so overwhelmed and cognitively overloaded that they can't focus on what they're trying to express. "If you want kids to write analytically and to develop both their writing skills and their knowledge and analytical abilities, you got to have them write about what you're trying to teach," he says.
