Is There a Base Line Happiness?

Happiness is, more often than not, a state rather than an actual sort of life style. And it's estate because of the hedonic treadmill: we appear to have some sort of base line happiness. People that won the lottery were extremely happy in the beginning but within four or five years they weren't any happier or sadder. But you can also recover from supertematic things, ase, whatever thr narro plasticity - i don't know yet.
