The Importance of Deliberate Action in Stress

People will always go to the thing or the strategy that they're the most comfortable with. When you're kind of on those high levels of arousal, high levels of pressure, you tend to go to your favorite folk art of attention. And as you say, sometimes that's actually what you need. But more often than not, you have to have some sort of deliberate action and be able to move outside of where your focus comfort zone is, so to speak.
