The first live dialogue in this movie is 25 minutes in. It's when Floyd gets out of the elevator. And it's such a weird line. The third Mrs. Harris book just feels like what you're talking about with the 2001 sequels. She finds that being nice, kind, and hopeful does not always lead to people being nice and kind and return. But yeah, the opening section, super striking.
