Protecting Mangroves in Indonesia
Sarcassa is this dedicated effort to plant mangraves. Also about custing emissions. Now actually, this wasn't a fight climbate change, but to protect them from it. I visited the char region of banglelesh in the south. It's losing around 500 meters of coast line each year from rising sea levels. And also, this area is right at the mouth of a really powerful river,. So the local government there is trying to use mangrove tree's ability to bind and strengthen soil to protect its degrading coasts.
