The Importance of Communication in Politics

Technology mediates everything that we do today. Can you really communicate anything other than ideology in 280 characters? So doesn't the platform itself filter out nuanced points of view by default, when the only things that can ever get up voted and shared are things that you can write down on a fortune cooki? How alienating would it be to have a host of experiences that you'd like nothing more than to share with the people you love and care about. But that language and communication has atrophied to such an extent that it will always be impossible for you to actually tell them about it.
