Brahmins, Banias, Kias and Rajputs coexisting with large sections of upper the backward cast as well as the balance. So it was a very firm tight social engineering fabric that the BJP had stitched up which this fabric began to fray on the edges before the 2022 elections. The Samajwadi party which turned out to be the main opponent in these elections tried hard, couldn't succeed entirely but given the circumstances, I would say that it didn't do too badly. But again, it allowed the BJP to come back quite comfortably. It is a wake up call for the BJP that it cannot take all its so-called dedicated constituents for granted. And
