The Ontology of Scripture
When I speak of theological interpretation of scripture, and to be honest, I use the term less and less these days precisely because of the associations that it now has. And if you pressed me on what distinguishes my way of doing it from others, I'd probably say a focus on the ontology of scripture. So as far as the doily authored text is ultimately God's authoring his communicative action through human discourse. That's basically how I understand it.
