CNN's John Sutter talks with neuroscientists about the connection between emotion and memory. He says that for years, he wasn't allowed to study emotions in neuroscience because of funding restrictions. But after changing his grant from neural pathways of emotion to those of emotional conditioning, he was able to get funded again. The research is now being published in a book called "Emotions"
