The Difference Between Atheism and Late Modernity on Moral Realism
The arbitrariness of moral realism without God can be seen in how it treats human morality as qualitatively different from animal morality without a clear justification. In atheism, it's very difficult to explain why there should be any qualitative difference between human morality and animal morality the way we intuit that. You also have the idea of future divine judgment, which interacts with our intuitive feeling about the significance of morality.
