The History of the Parakeet

Long parakeets are about the size of morning dubs, or your average sidewalk pigeon. They're bright green with blue wingtips, white bellies, and hooked beaks. Like all parrots, they have a special relationship with humans. The first record of the Roserang parakeet being taken from Africa to Greece was 500 BC.
