Is the Tree of Life an Outlier of Antisemitic Violence?

There are lots of people in the american jewish community now who feel that the tree of life attack was just one in a broader succession of violent attacks. They see it as constituting a significant trend of antisemitic violence, and that they asoiate with the rise of anti semitism in association with donald trump's presidency. I am to say honestly mildly sceptical of the narrative of a big, new significant trend that will fundamentally change the perspective of american jews but i also am open to being proven wrong about that.
