In Australia we need a positive statement of what religious freedom is and we don't have it in our national legislation. We tried to pass a anti-religious discrimination bill so you could not discriminate against people on the basis of their religion but that was defeated because it would not get universal consent. I mean with some degree of legitimacy, religious liberty would be weaponized against sexual minorities. So Imean these are the issues we're continuing to have in Australia and we have not found a balance. It's interesting that the Christian nationalist and the progressive, the hyper progressive, almost come back to having something in common and that they want power - political and religious power.
