Trump's Indictment Does Not Detail What the Theory of the Case Actually Is
The indictment doesn't detail what the theory of the case actually is. It seems to me very likely that Trump did deduct this as an expense if he wrote it down as paying a retainer to Michael Cohen. He's preserving his options to get theory A, B or C later on. The public demonstrations have been very muted and somewhat pathetic.
