How to Out Perform as a Professional Investor
As a professional investor, you have to consistently perform better than your peers and their bench mark. As individual investors, we don't have to compete. We can't get fired. That gives us a tremendous amount of freedom as investors. It allows us to be much more patient for ideas to work out. The expected volatility priced into options is greater than the actual realized volatility.
