"I think that Becker ultimately would have come back to Freud through attachment theory," he says. "For them, it's much more valuable to be able to surf across, across, you know, all kinds of information and just pick out here and there and put it together." The author has written eight or nine books; one was a translation but sold over 200 copies in the U.S. He sees his students as people who don't want to learn tribal stories anymore because they're too busy writing about high speed images.
