The Misfits of Faulkner

Faulkner is as good or better than any of those folks, but it is inconceivable to think of Faulkner doing the Paris thing with those other writers. He did make his way to Paris sometime in the late 20s, but it was all over by then. Hemingway had gone home and Fitzgerald had gone home. So that's as close as close to that scene as he got was seen in Joyce from across the room. Did anyone ever really see Joyce spread? Well, he certainly never saw one.
