Dollarization is a path for some of these economies to deal with their most immediate short-term challenges, especially when they're effectively already dollarized as is the case in Argentina. One thing they lose, however, is the ability to control monetary policy. Carlos suggests bringing together Bitcoin with dollarization is a solution that gives citizens more options but still preserves politicians' inability to tamper over economic system.
