How to Be an Intelligent Designer

I was talking about unintelligent design and a video that I released probably 10 years ago. An apologist gave the excuse that, well, if you want to have life, then you have to have disaster. He went on to say that actually most of the reason people died during natural disasters is because governments are corrupt. These are just a few examples of just some of the things that popped into my head. If I was the designer, what would you do? Right now you are omnipotent.
