The Allegory of Moses

Gregory of Nissa takes the life of Moses as a metaphor of the walk of faith from which we can learn. What he's actually here confronting is that you don't use metaphors too literally. So in expecting to find Christological pregnancies as it were in a text, we're not really going far from the amaus road.
