The Myth of Washington, D.C.

There's a pile of myths about Washington, D.C., that are more boring than the myths themselves. One myth is that J Street doesn't exist because Longmont or somebody else had a feud with John Jay. If you read 18th century documents, remember, there's a lot of weird cartography and a weird on 18th-century documents. You'll find many 18th century towns and cities that either have an I or a J, but they don't have both.
