One of the biggest misconceptions and myths around developer experience, I would call it really an anti-pattern, is that developer experience is just about tools. Human factors like collaboration or psychological safety have a really important effect on developer experience. We think of code quality as a technical problem, but in fact the real challenges of code quality are around humans understanding other humans code,. And so is code quality really a technical problem or is it a human problem? That's an interesting idea I've been thinking about.
