CHAPTER

The Importance of De-Growth

Ross: There's a lot of very compelling ideas within the sustainability world at the moment and that's why i want to bring up things like nettear carbon, de-growth. Ross: I think it's absolutely essential as an overton window sort of thing that we start the de-growth movement is at least helping society envision what a slower more local less material intensive more equal more respectful of nature might look like my only problem with it is we're not going to vote to get there but other than that i i think the de- growth movement does have a lot of good ideas in it and we should listen to them.
