The Purification of Purgatory

In order to become better at things, I have to impose a kind of suffering on myself. The punishment of purgatory makes sense as a kind of purifying punishment to me. That maybe a little bit of suffering and I could have helped a poor person that I just didn't want to suffer that way. It's a kind of parental, it's a helpful punishment.
