A lot of salespeople are often quoted as being key people because of their relationships. If that person was to leave, anyone stepping in to try to rebuild those relationships would be a major disadvantage. Companies can even take out insurance, key person insurance, to say, like, if this salesperson passes away or it leaves,. Then the company gets paid by the insurance company some amount of money for them to have the opportunity to find a replacement and get those relationships rebuilt.
