The Power of Compassion

In one of the events I was in, Michael and Robert Bly and a few other people were in Washington, D.C. Just when the U.S. was starting the Gulf War, those of you who remember back to that. A number of them were vets who knew that war was not a particularly good way to solve human problems. So they decided to do a ritual and a walk to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial as an expression of the tears that we carry. And pretty quickly the police came out and said you don't have a permit. You can't have a protest like this.
