Charlottea Salomon's Life in Berlin in the 1930s

Charlottea Salomon created one of the most important and powerful artworks of the 20th century, life or theatre. A compilation of 769 Gooshes that documented the young Charlottea's life in Berlin in the 1930s. The work itself was made during the war when Charlotte was living in Nice between 1941 and 1943. It is divided into three sections, the Prelude, the main section and the epilogue. Chantal has personally been painted by Chantal before, she has an incredible tendency to look beyond the surface and paint a psychologically charged portrait.
