Jack Black had met future director Jason Bloom at UCLA and was asked to perform in his film, BioDome. In 1997, they've got a residency at the fucking Viper Room which is pretty badass. They then record Tenacious Demo. And off of this, and Jack Black's appearances on the televised Mr. Show, they are offered a TV show by HBO. So quick, it makes your head spin.
