Bruno had a fascinating career and many books have been written about him. He speculated about the nature of the universe, about existence of parallel worlds,. alien beings on other planets, that kind of thing. This was the beginning of all the troubles over Galileo and Copernicus. So he also thought he knew a thing or two about demon summoning. And how to keep the demons on your good side. But probably concerning with Protestants was the final straw. I mean, a lot of people could get their sentences commuted if they begged forgiveness.
